Young Hunter Treated After Accidentally Shooting Himself in the Leg in Douglas County

DOUGLAS CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A young hunter in Douglas County accidentally shoots himself in the leg.

The sheriff’s office responded around 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon along County Road 74 in Nelson, Minnesota.

The hunter was able to walk to a nearby property and ask for help.

He was treated and then flown from the scene by Life Link.

The injury does not appear to be life-threatening.

The incident is still under investigation, but nothing criminal is suspected.
