UPDATE: North Dakota State Hospital Escapee in Jamestown Is Captured

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KVRR) —  The search for a dangerous escapee in Jamestown has come to an end.

28-year-old Jeffrey Cofresi was taken into custody tonight in Jamestown with the help of local law enforcement.

North Dakota Highway Patrol says Confresi escaped from the North Dakota State Hospital around 2 this afternoon.

They alerted the public saying he had violent tendencies.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KVRR) — The search is on for a dangerous escapee in Jamestown.

North Dakota Highway Patrol says 28-year-old Jeffrey Cofresi escaped from the North Dakota State Hospital around 2 Tuesday afternoon.

They say Cofresi has violent tendencies.

He was last seen walking westbound from the hospital campus near State Hospital Road.

Cofresi was wearing a black sweatshirt with white logo, black sweatpants, and black Crocs.

He has a wrist and neck tattoo along with a scar on his neck.

The patrol and local agencies are searching for him.

People are advised to not make contact with him and instead call 911.
