WASHINGTON, D.C. (KVRR) – A West Fargo woman helped deck some of the most famous halls in the country.

Delaney Rick was one of 300 people who got to help decorate the White House for the holidays.
She spent last week in Washington, D.C. with around 300 other people decorating the executive mansion.
This year’s theme was the “Magic, Wonder, and Joy” of the holidays.
Rick has no professional decorating experience. She simply applied for the chance this fall and got picked.
She got to meet First Lady Jill Biden, and says she developed lasting friendships with a bunch of fellow decorators from around the country.

Rick says, “It lived up to the hype. It was so much fun. It was everything that I was expecting.”

Her and her group spent much of their time decorating the state dining room in the White House. Now that she’s back home, she says decorating her own home for the holidays is a lot easier and lot less stressful than it used to be.
