Man seriously injured in OHV crash near Thompson, North Dakota

THOMPSON, N.D. (KVRR) — One man is seriously hurt when he was ejected from his Off Highway Vehicle.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 42-year-old Lucas Schafer, of Grand Forks, was headed west on 9th Avenue Northeast from Thompson to Grand Forks.

The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m Friday.

Authorities say his Polaris Ranger went into the south ditch, tripped and rolled.

Schafer was ejected and found by someone driving by.

He was taken to Altru Hospital.
