Thief River Falls Woman Accused of Setting Apartment on Fire

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. (KVRR) — A Thief River Falls woman is accused of setting her apartment on fire early Tuesday after a night out drinking.
33-year-old Misty Myhrer is charged with arson in the 1st degree.
Her boyfriend called police and told them his girlfriend “lit the place on fire” and that the fire was out and she was attempting to leave.
Police arrived to find burning and smoldering clothing and scorch marks on the wall and ceiling.
Two kids inside the apartment were removed.
Myhrer was taken into custody by officers who said she appeared intoxicated and that they found that she had a Bic cigarette lighter in her possession.
Bail is set at $50,000 without conditions or $1,200 with conditions.
Her next hearing is set for Monday.
