Detroit Lakes man feeling the love and support from the community while facing health battles

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KVRR) – A Detroit Lakes man is battling multiple health battles, and once again he’s back in the hospital. But Jack Goodrich isn’t allowing it to stop him, as he feels the love and support from the community.

“The biggest thing is just how wonderful the community we have. Very blessed to be in an area that they treat you like family more than friends. I mean it’s just a blessing for me to see how wonderful this community is.” said Goodrich.

Goodrich is facing thyroid cancer, pericarditis and many more issues. The community support has been huge for Goodrich, as they uplift him during this difficult time for him and his family.

A benefit is set for Jan. 20 at the Community Alliance Church from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 408 Elm St. W.
