North Dakota’s Buckshot Hoffner Dies at 91

A mover-and-shaker and colorful political figure in North Dakota has passed away.

Sebastian “Buckshot” Hoffner died in Bismarck at the age of 91.

Hoffner was a key figure in the 1950s move to merge the North Dakota Democratic and Non-Partisan League parties.

He also served many years in the state legislature and made unsuccessful runs for congress and governor.
