LIVE: Help Supply Furnishings For People Leaving Homelessness On Giving Hearts Day

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – You can help families leaving homelessness feel at home in their new surroundings for Giving Hearts Day.

The group Down Home provides furnishing for families moving from homelessness into permanent homes.
They are hoping to raise $150,000 on Giving Hearts Day.
They have $30,000 in matching donations lined up.
That money would let Down Home provide beds, tables and more for 36 families in our region this year.
That’s on top of the 163 homes they’ve helped furnish since 2017.

Down Home’s Director of Mission Outreach, Emily Kaiser, says, “They now see a place that is comfortable. They have dignity. They can see stability. They have connections with other people in the community and it shows us that there is hope, and that we’re really making a difference in their lives.”

You can give early online right now by clicking here.
Thursday on the morning show, we’re celebrating Giving Hearts Day all morning long with the Dakota Medical Foundation joining us live in studio.
