Fargo Park District Ends Outdoor Ice Rink Season Early With One Exception

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The warmer than average weather has taken out skating rinks across Fargo.
The park district has decided they will remain closed for the remainder of the season.
The only exception is the Scheels Skating Rink at Broadway Square in downtown Fargo.
That rink has a refrigerated coil system which allows for more temperature control and easier maintenance of consistent ice quality.
As for the other rinks, the park district says the extended forecast does not indicate a sustained period of temperatures low enough to meet requirements for safe ice.
