Fargo Man Arrested For Robbery After Threatening Clerk With A Knife

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Fargo man was arrested Tuesday for robbery after threatening a clerk with a knife.

33-year-old Lucas Tavares was taken into custody in the 1400 block of Dakota Drive North, just hours after the crime.

The robbery happened around 4 a.m. Tuesday at Loaf ‘N Jug in the 1200 block of North University Drive.

The clerk told police a man with a knife demanded money and fled in a vehicle.

Officers were able to use cameras in the area to help make the arrest.

Tavares has previously been charged in Colorado and California for burglary, aggravated assault and robbery.

His next court appearance is April 11.
