Sanford makes major land purchase in Watertown, South Dakota

$3.5 million land purchase was made in January

WATERTOWN, S.D (KVRR-KWAT) – Sanford Health recently completed a land acquisition in eastern South Dakota.

Sanford purchased just under 10 acres of land in Watertown for approximately $3.5 million.

The land was purchased in early January by a limited liability company, which transferred it to Sanford.

Sanford currently operates a clinic in Watertown, but does not operate a local hospital.

“As of today, we have no immediate plans for the land and continue to look at ways to best serve Watertown and the surrounding communities.” according Cindy Mydland, director of Sanford’s Watertown clinic.

“Sanford Health continues to invest in the communities it serves by providing convenient care close to home.

Sanford is headquartered in Sioux Falls and Fargo, with additional offices in Bismarck and Bemidji.
