Bear Spotted in Morningside Neighborhood of Moorhead
The Moorhead Police Department says the bear has not shown any aggressive behavior.
MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) – A solitary black bear has been spotted in Moorhead, roaming without incident through the MSUM and Concordia neighborhoods.
The Moorhead Police Department confirmed the bear’s presence in a Facebook post on the morning of May 23, saying that as of 8:05 A.M. the bear was known to be in the Morningside area.

Authorities say the bear has not demonstrated any aggressive behavior. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says they are monitoring the situation but will only take action if the animal becomes a threat to the public.
