Update: Police identify victim of fatal stabbing in south Fargo
The victim was 22-year-old Ethan Larson, of Newfolden, Minnesota

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Police say a Newfolden, Minnesota man was the victim of a fatal stabbing early Thursday morning in Fargo.
Twenty-eight-year-old Michael Diedrich is being held for murder in the death of 22-year-old Ethan Larson.
Police were called to the parking lot of SouthTown PourHouse and Duane’s House of Pizza just before 1 a.m. where they found a male stabbing victim.
Police say Larson was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
During the investigation, police learned Diedrich and Larson were arguing before they were both told to leave the establishment by staff.
Police say Diedrich fled the scene after the stabbing.
“I don’t want to get into the details of the argument yet, because we’re still very much under investigation into what’s going on and why this happened. But immediately from that time forward we started looking for a suspect,” said Fargo Police Captain Bill Ahlfeldt.
The investigation remains active.
