Man Killed After Parking SUV On Railroad Tracks Near Tioga, North Dakota

WILLIAMS CO., N.D. (KVRR) — A man in western North Dakota is dead after parking his SUV on the tracks facing west and being hit by an eastbound Amtrak train.

It happened just before midnight about 5 miles west of Tioga, northeast of Williston North Dakota.

Highway Patrol says the 26-year-old man from Tioga was thrown from the SUV on impact.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name will be released once his relatives have been notified.

The crash remains under investigation.
