Sanford Health promotes safe biking for kids
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — It is National Bike to School Day, a perfect time to remind kids about bicycle safety.
With the weather warming up, more and more kids are biking to school and just for fun.
Because of this Sanford Children’s Safe Kids is advising parents to make sure they are biking safely.
They ask parents to wear helmets themselves to be a role model, make sure kids know the rules of the road and to look both ways.
Erin Kiefert, Sanford Health Safe Kids, said, “Bike Helmets are a really great way to protect your head and your brain. If you are ever hit by a car or crash your bike, you only get one brain and we want to make sure you do that and a bike helmet is the best way to do that.”
