Sobriety checkpoint nets 2 DUI arrests in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – North Dakota Highway Patrol arrested two drivers for DUI during a sobriety checkpoint over the weekend.
They set up the checkpoint between 5:15 and 6:15 pm Saturday on the northbound exit from I-29 onto 19th Ave. N. in Fargo.
Highway Patrol says 481 vehicles went through the checkpoint.
They screened 14 drivers for impairment and ended up arresting two drivers for DUI. One of those drivers had two warrants for his arrest.
After the checkpoint, the Highway Patrol, Cass County Sheriff and Fargo Police did saturation patrols in the area.
That resulted in one DUI arrest, three arrests for Driving Under Suspension, one reckless driving arrest along with various citations and warnings.
