LIVE: Donut Day
FARGO — If you’re looking for an excuse to indulge, June 7th is the perfect opportunity.
Because that’s National Donut Day, and your treat could make someone else’s life a little sweeter here in the region.
The Salvation Army is partnering up with Sandy’s Donuts for the day.
You can pick up the tradition cake donuts from the same recipe Salvation Army “donut girls” made for the troops on the front lines of World War I.
It was just one of the ways they kept the troops fed and kept their morale up.
Like the work the Salvation Army does today, it was an all-volunteer effort.
Major Abe Tamayo of the Salvation Army and Bella the Donut Girl stopped by the Morning Show to talk about Donut Day and how it links with the work the Salvation Army does today right here in our community.
