Grand Forks Man Accused of Attacking Man With Hatchet Is Charged

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — A Grand Forks man is facing a number of charges after being accused of attacking a man with a hatchet and later firing multiple gunshots in his home.
21-year-old Jayden Lloyd is charged with eight counts including possession with intent to manufacture or deliver LSD and a schedule one hallucinogenic substance, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and firing a gun within city limits.
Just before 4 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a man who has been assaulted with a hatchet.
He was taken to Altru with non-life threatening injuries.
Lloyd and a female witness took off to their home at 506 Oak Street. When officers got there, they saw Lloyd firing a handgun inside.
At least two rounds went into a neighbor’s house.
No one was injured.
Lloyd’s next court appearance is set for July 15.
