Insurance Commissioner Issues Cease-and-Desist Orders Against Three Companies

BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) — A cease-and-desist order has been issued against three companies for distributing deceptive materials to North Dakota consumers.

Insurance Commissioner Jon Godfread issued the orders against Georgia-based RGI Data Assets, Direct Mail Processing and Delaware-based Mail Pro Leads.

They are accused of sending replicated IRS tax forms to 1,300 North Dakotans requesting personal information.

The information collected would be sold to insurance agents to solicit potential clients.
