AC repair demand heats up in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — With the weather heating up, AC repair companies have been flooded with calls from people looking to cool down.

We spoke with a technician from Laney’s who said that they have been keeping busy this week as people look to get their air conditioning up and running during this hot weather.

While you may need to call to get your unit fixed, he said that there are a number of steps that you can take to make sure you don’t need to have a repair tech visit your home.

He said the number one thing that most people struggle with is preventative maintenance.

“The biggest thing is people not doing preventative maintenance. A lot of issues can be caught early and when it’s not 90 some degrees like it’s going to be this weekend. Big issues are you know, dirty condenser, you know I believe it or not your AC can overheat.”

The main things that you can do is to replace your filters, and keep your unit clean.
