Two boys dead, six others injured in rollover crash near Jamestown

STUTSMAN COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR-KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol says two children died and 6 other people were injured in a rollover crash Monday shortly before 5 p.m. on I-94 seven miles west of Jamestown.

An SUV was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control after being passed by a semi-truck and went off the interstate, rolled, and landed on its side in a slough.

First responders found the bodies of two boys, a 7-year-old and a 10-year-old, in the deep water. All others were transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

A 9-year-old child was then flown to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with life-threatening injuries. The SUV driver, a 30-year-old woman, was transported by ambulance to Sanford in Fargo with serious injuries. The other four children, between the ages of 5 and 11, had minor injuries.

All those involved in the crash are from Cleveland, North Dakota.

The crash remains under investigation.
