UPDATE: Cass County Jail inmate found dead is identified

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — An inmate found dead at Cass County Jail last night has been identified as 37-year-old Alexis Phillips of Ogema, Minnesota.
The sheriff’s office says Phillips died after a medical emergency.
A deputy found her unresponsive shortly before 11:30 last night during a routine check.
The death remains under investigation.
Phillips was arrested last Friday for driving under suspension which was tied to an earlier arrest for criminal mischief.
The sheriff’s office, Cass County Coroner, North Dakota BCI and Department of Corrections are investigating the woman’s death.

FARGO (KVRR) – An investigation is underway after a 37-year-old female inmate died at the Cass County Jail in Fargo.
Detective Joe Gress says a deputy found the woman unresponsive shortly before 11:30 p.m. Monday during a routine check.
Deputies attempted life-saving efforts and Sanford Ambulance and Fargo firefighters responded.
The sheriff’s office, Cass County Coroner, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation are investigating the woman’s death.
The woman’s name was not immediately released.
