Drekker and Red Cross team up for blood drive

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Drekker and Brewhalla partnered with the Red Cross in an effort to get people out to donate blood.

The blood drive was held at Drekker Brewing in Fargo, and as part of the deal donors would receive a free 12 ounce beer when they donated.

Drekker and Brewhalla Event Coordinator Alex Dean said that they are always excited to do their part in helping the Red Cross get more donors to help save more lives.

Dean said that the turnout for the blood drive was fantastic this year.

“So today we have the Red Cross out here doing their blood drive. They come here a few times a year, and we’re so happy to be partnering with them for this event. We think it’s really important, and today we’re really lucky. We basically have a full roster of people donating, so great day.”

Drekker allowed donors to enjoy their beer after they donated, or they could take a rain check, and come back for the beer at a later date.
