KFGO Partners with Emergency Food Pantry for Peanut Butter Drive
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Peanut Butter of all kinds and sizes can be dropped off at KFGO’s station until next Thursday, August 15.
The drive was created by KFGO’s team JJ Gordon and Amy Iler from It Takes Two.
The idea came to light from a conversation they had about the typical family household decision on peanut butter saying that no one who gets together agrees on their type of peanut butter.
Stacie Loegering from the Emergency Food Pantry said this drive is a special reminder to her of a boy named Jonathan and his mom who struggled to make ends meet had received food from the Emergency Food Pantry.
“She had a smile on her face and tears in her eyes of gratitude. And Jonathan had a peanut butter jar in one hand and he also had a toothbrush in his other hand and he was just skipping out of the food pantry. Excited to know that they had the food and excited to know he was getting a new toothbrush,” said Loegering.
The Emergency Food Pantry will also be accepting garden vegetables and other perished goods at their location at 1101 4th Avenue North in Fargo from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
