Fargo lawmaker is among DNC delegates in Chicago
CHICAGO (KVRR) — A state lawmaker form Fargo is among the delegates attending the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
LaurieBeth Hager is a state representative in Fargo’s District 21.
This is the second time Hager has been a delegate at the DNC for North Dakota.
The one main difference for her is that this convention is in person unlike the virtual event in 2020 due to the pandemic.
With Vice President Kamala Harris’s selection of running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Hager has high hopes for what he can bring if elected.
“It’s been the honor of my life to get to share this experience with the people that follow me on Facebook and my friends at home. And so many of them are reaching out and I’m hoping to help them feel like they are part of the experience through my posts and through what I’m doing out here,” said Hager.
Hager has served in the legislature since 2019.
