Bail Set At $1 Million For Teen Accused Of Gruesome Killing of His Ex-Girlfriend in Moorhead

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Bail is set at $1 million with conditions for the teen accused of killing a 14-year-old girl and leaving her body near the Red River in Moorhead last week.
18-year-old Isaac Arndt made his first court appearance in Moorhead after being extradited from Fargo on murder charges.
He is facing up to 40 years in prison on second-degree murderĀ for the stabbing death of 14-year-old Jaelyn Walker.
She would have started school as a freshman this week in Moorhead.
Court documents say Arndt admitted to police that he stabbed his ex-girlfriend 13 times.
He initially claimed they were being followed in Gooseberry Park by “an unknown white male” who cut him.
During the investigation Arndt admitted to cutting Walker’s throat, giving her a hug, stabbing her one more time in the back and dragging her body to the river before fleeing the scene.
His next hearing is set for September.
