Sobriety Checkpoint Planned for Thursday Somewhere in Cass County

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Another sobriety checkpoint will be set up somewhere in Cass County on Thursday.

It will be conducted by North Dakota Highway Patrol, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, and police departments from Fargo and NDSU.

Nursing staff from Essentia Health will be on hand to provide information about the risks of driving while under the influence.

As of August 22nd, there have been 57 fatalities on North Dakota roadways in 2024.

Nine of those fatalities were related to crashes involving alcohol.
