ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — Minnesota lawmakers could look to increase penalties for repeat drunk drivers in response to the deadly crash at the Park Tavern in St. Louis Park.

Senator Ron Latz of St. Louis Park says the state has a robust system for repeat offenders with driver’s license revocation and mandatory ignition interlocks.

He says the state could do more.

Steven Bailey, 56, has five previous DWI convictions.

Police say his blood alcohol content was more than four times the legal limit.
