NDSU Set To Host Celebration for First Ever Museum
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — North Dakota State University will host a launch celebration tomorrow evening for their first-ever university museum.
The museum is a collection of objects, artifacts, and videos exploring the history of NDSU.
The collection is found in several parts throughout the campus in what they deem as Portals.
Each Portal contains a piece of an artifact and a description of it and its significance.
The museum’s build-up was collaborated by both students and faculty.
“So this is about sharing stories. This is about story-telling from the university. This is about who we are, where we’ve been, what we’ve collected, and the meaning of those things,” said Angela Smith, Professor of History.
The museum plans to expand its portals from campus into the community such as Bonanzaville.
To share the history of not just the campus but of the communities.
