Drag racing returning to Interstate Raceway in Glyndon, Minnesota
GLYNDON, Minn. (KVRR) — The green flag is about to drop again at Interstate Raceway in Glyndon.
Rolie Racing LLC has taken over the racetrack and are planning to bring events back, including drag racing.
The Rolie brothers have been into racing since they were kids, and they’re hoping to share that passion by offering driver lessons and junior drag racing at the track.
They say they’re hoping to bring the community together, and give people who love racing a safe place to do it off of city streets after many recent issues with street racing and noise complaints.
“I think when it comes to addressing the noise complaint issue, giving officers and giving community members a place to go and also the public giving them a place to go to do these things is the best way to keep them off the roads,” said Kyle Rolie.
They’ll be hosting their first event, a street legal race, on October 12 and 13 in Glyndon.
