Injury motorcycle crash in Fargo; Bike driver run over by camper trailer, hospitalized with serious injuries

Police Lights

FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – A motorcyclist was run over Monday evening while the eastbound lanes of I-94 between University Drive and the Red River Bridge were backed up because of road construction.

North Dakota Highway Patrol says around 8:40 p.m. a motorcycle driving by a 39-year-old Fargo woman had just caught up in the standstill and had slowed down when the bike tipped and threw the woman off. She was then run over by a camper trailer being towed by a pickup and dragged for a short distance. She sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Health.

She is facing charges of DUI and not having a motorcycle endorsement.

The crash remains under investigation.
