13-Year Old Taken Into Custody Following Reports of School Shooting Threats

PONSFORD, Minn. (KVRR) — At approximately 7:02 p.m. last night, the Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible school shooting threat at the Pine Point School.

Shortly after, the school canceled school for the day after the report was made.

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office investigated the complaint, and a 13-year-old female was later taken into custody for a Threats of Violence charge for the statements.

From the initial investigation, there was no indication of any imminent danger to the students or staff at the school.

The incident continues to remain under investigation.
