Clay County Hosts Grand Opening Ceremony for New Detox Facility, DMV
MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Clay County held a grand opening ceremony for the new Withdrawal Management/ Detox Facility & DMV.
The facility will hold up to 32 people which is two times more than the county facility.
As the number of beds that are needed are high across the state of Minnesota, this will gradually decrease the need.
Patients will be coming in from all across the state and from the Fargo area.
They are also the only ones that will be accepting pregnant women for detox.
“There’s a huge need in our community for withdrawal management detox services. We’re hearing that from our emergency management personnel and hospitals,” said Jenny Mongeau, Clay County Commissioner.
The facility services are available right now as a court order and once the facility officially opens by next week they will be taking in patients. The DMV will open on October 22.
