Fargo Public Works Is Looking For Volunteers For Adopt-A-Street Program
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Fargo Public Works is looking for some good volunteers to help pick up trash and clean up city streets.
The program, Adopt-A-Street, was launched in 1990 and is the cities litter control program that currently has 26 volunteer groups.
Each group works once a month from May to September.
Groups pick a route they would like to clean that is 2 miles or less.
The city currently has five available routes and it’s a great way to take pride in your community.
“It’s just anybody that’s looking to help. They just want to make the city a more beautiful place for themselves, for the people coming into the city. They want to be proud of where they live and we benefit from that,” said Melissa Wolf, Coordinator for Adopt-A-Street Program.
For more information on the routes available you can visit the City of Fargo’s website.
