Dozens of Minnesota Lineworkers Head To The Southeast To Help Restore Power After Hurricane Helene

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Lineworkers from a number of Minnesota communities are heading to states impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Xcel Energy is sending more than 100 employees to help restore power.

They are from Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas.

Minnesota electric co-ops are sending 80 lineworkers to aid in power restoration.

Those from our region include Clearwater-Polk Electric Cooperative in Bagley, Red Lake Electric Cooperative, Runestone Electric in Alexandria and Todd Wadena Electric Cooperative.

Mass devastation and outages have impacted cooperatives in several southern states.
