Fans get ready for Bison to take on Fighting Hawks in top 10 rivalry matchup

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The biggest college rivalry in North Dakota took to the field at the Fargodome Saturday as NDSU faced off against UND.

Plenty of Fighting Hawks fans made their way down for the pregame tailgate alongside their Bison rivals.

UND won the last edition of the rivalry, beating the Bison 49-24 in last year’s matchup, their first loss to the Fighting Hawks since 2003.

Jason Kubitz, father of NDSU Senior Linebacker Nick Kubitz says he isn’t sure that it’s the biggest rivalry for NDSU, but they’re looking to avenge the loss all the same.

“That’s everybody’s question. I would have to say this is gonna be a great game… Horns up. Bison are going to win today.”
