Adult Suffers Smoke Inhalation After Fire Starts on Porch Near Otter Tail Lake

OTTER TAIL CO., Minn. (KVRR) — One person was treated for smoke inhalation after a porch fire north of Battle Lake, Minnesota.

Fire crews were called to the house on the west end of Otter Tail Lake last night around 9 o’clock.

They found the porch on fire and put it out.

An adult was treated on scene and then taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

The injury is not believed to be life threatening.

The cause of the fire was tied to a wood stove in the porch.

There was significant damage to that area but it not extend further into the house.
