Handgun scare at Grand Forks County Office

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — Confusion over a handgun at the Grand Forks County Office brings out several deputies.

The sheriff’s office responded the the office’s fourth floor for a man with a handgun.

They approached the situation similar to an active shooter.

When deputies questioned the man, they found he did not have a handgun but an electrical shock-style device instead.

The man had already returned the device to his vehicle before law enforcement was contacted.

The county office returned to normal business after it was determined there was no threat.
