Minnesota Lottery Returns $4 Billion To Minnesota Over Nearly 35 Years

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (KVRR) — Minnesota Lottery has reached a major milestone.

It has now returned $4 billion to the state to help expand outdoor recreation, support local agriculture, restore wildlife habitats and protect water quality.

In fiscal year 2024 a record payout of $196.5 million was returned to lottery beneficiaries who serve each of Minnesota’s 87 counties.

Players cashed in $476 million in lottery prizes as sales reached $775 million.

That is the third highest total in the lottery’s 34-year history.

Scratch games take the lead at $524 million.
