Grand Forks Man Tried to Outrun Police In His Vehicle and On Foot

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — A Grand Forks man faces charges after fleeing from police, crashing and attempting to get away on foot.

Police tried to stop 37-year-old Brody Welsh last night for a traffic violation near Lincoln Park.

Welsh sped off and eventually crashed into a pump station building where he got out of the vehicle and fled.

He was caught a short distance away.

Welsh was arrested DUI, DUI refusal, fleeing, refusal to halt, criminal mischief, reckless driving, and no liability insurance.

Police say the pump station building was damaged.
