Red Lake Officer And Red Lake Tribal Member Both Killed In Crash

RED LAKE, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — A Red Lake Public Safety Officer and another man were killed in a car crash this morning.

Red Lake Department of Public Safety says Officer Jesse Branch was killed in a crash on Highway 1 east of Red Lake, north of Bemidji.

Red Lake tribal member Alan Lussier Jr. was also killed.

Branch and Lussier Jr. were the only occupants in either vehicle.

Minnesota State Patrol and FBI are both investigating the crash.

The Red Lake chairman has ordered flags be flown at half staff at tribal building.
