Terry Ree of “Williams And Ree” Dead at 75

Comedy Duo Performed Together for Over 50 Years

A comic legend in these parts has died.

Terry Ree, one half of the comedy-music duo Williams and Ree, died Saturday at 75.

Bruce Williams announced his friend’s death on social media.

The duo retired from touring this year after fifty years.

They first met and started a band in 1968 at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota.

But there banter between songs soon became more popular and a comedy duo was born.

They performed numerous times in our region and were at a staple at Norsk Hostfest in Minot.

They were inducted into the South Dakota Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
