Man Seriously Injures His Hand With Firework During Celebration in West Fargo

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A man is being treated for a traumatic injury to his hand caused by the improper use of a firework during a New Year’s celebration in West Fargo.

Police were called to the 800 block of Cathy Drive West around 12:40 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

They discovered a 21-year-old man had suffered severe but non-life threatening injuries.

He was taken to a local hospital to be treated.

Police say no other information is being released other than to remind people that fireworks are extremely dangerous and can cause life-altering injuries and fires when used improperly.
