Fargo Schools Names Support Staffer of the Year

It takes more than teachers to make a quality school, and Fargo Schools is recognizing one of those unsung heroes.

The school district recognized Missy Tedford, an administrative assistant from Horace Mann Elementary, as Support Staffer of the year.

The award came as a complete surprise to Tedford, who says that the kids are the reason for her award–winning service.

“The kids…the kids make me young every day.  They make me laugh, I love getting hugs from them everyday … they just make my job enjoyable every day,” said Missy Tedford.

Tedford has been an employee with the district since 2004.

She said that her previous work in human resources gave her valuable people skills.

Her co–workers describe Tedford as efficient, courteous and having an infectious positive spirit.
