Gov. Kelly Armstrong Announces Jill Kringstad As New Public Service Commissioner

BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) — Gov. Kelly Armstrong has appointed Jill Kringstad as the new Public Service Commissioner.
Kringstad has served as the PSC’s manager of business operations since January 2019 and began working for the PSC in 2016.
A native of Bismarck, Kringstad earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in economics from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2012.
She’ll be replacing Rep. Julie Fedorchak on the commission and Armstrong believes Kringstad is the right person for the role.
“As Governor Armstrong has said there’s no way to replace Julie at the PSC. But I’m honored to fill the seat she vacated and continue her great work of effective public policy,” said Jill Kringstad, North Dakota Public Service Commissioner.
The seat will be up for election in November 2026 to serve the remaining two years of the six-year term.
