Moorhead Teen Charged After Drug-Related Shooting in Manakto

MANKATO, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — Eighteen-year-old Abdikhadar Mohidin of Moorhead now faces felony charges after a drug-related shooting on New Year’s Eve in Mankato.

Blue Earth County prosecutors charging Mohidin with five counts including assault resulting in great bodily harm and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police say surveillance video from a parking lot showed Mohidin and another suspect shooting at each other near a vehicle.

A female victim was hit in the exchange of gunfire and taken to a Rochester hospital for surgery.

Officers recovered marijuana and a handgun at the scene.
