Naytahwaush, MN Father Arrested For Shaking Three-Month-Old Boy

MAHNOMEN CO., Minn. (KVRR) — An investigation into a shaken baby case results in the arrest of the infants father, 35-year-old Derek Croud Sr. of Naytahwaush, Minnesota.

A three month old male was not breathing and taken to the health center in Mahnomen on December 23.

Medical staff told deputies that the infant had suffered from “Shaken Baby Syndrome”.

After an investigation by Mahnomen County and Minnesota BCA, Croud was arrested yesterday for first degree assault and domestic assault.

The infant is still hospitalized and stable, but lasting effects are not known.
