It’s National Salvation Army Week!
The Salvation Army wants to remind the community of all the services the army provides.
This week is National Salvation Army Week, and the local chapter celebrated the event by hosting an open house.
During the week, the local chapter wants to let the area know all the ways they help the community and people in need.
Because the army does so much for the community, they’ve outgrown their current facility.
“We can get the groundwork laid for a new building. We are desperately in need of a new building, we have maxed out this building to the limit, and we have nowhere to go, so we are looking to expand our services, but to do that we have to find another place to expand our building,” said Major Byron Medlock, Fargo Corps Officer.
The army’s current headquarters is over 90 years old. They hope to find a site and construct their own new building using donations from the public.
