60th Presidential Inauguration

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KVRR) — Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar played a key role in the inauguration.

The Democrat, and one time candidate for president, is the Chair of the bipartisan and bicameral Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies for the 60th Presidential Inauguration.

In that role, she was right beside President Trump during several events.

She voted to convict him of incitement charges in the wake of the January 6th riots four years ago at the capitol.

“It is the moment when leaders elevated by the will of the people promise to be faithful to our Constitution, to cherish and defend it. It is the moment when they become, as we all should be the guardians of our country ” said Klobuchar.

She also spoke at former President Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony in 2021.

Other locals of note spotted in attendance during the ceremonies were current Interior Secretary nominee and former North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum along with his wife Kathryn and son Joe Burgum.

Homeland Security Secretary nominee Gov. Kristi Noem.

North Dakota’s new Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak and Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer.

And North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley.

Cramer issued a video statement welcoming the return of President Trump to power.

“Today was an incredible day, and it’s really a great day for our country. After four years of weakness, we have strong leadership at the helm again, and I really look forward to working with President Trump, Vice President Vance, and their team to truly Make America Great Again!”
