WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR)  — Services will be held Friday for former West Fargo City Commissioner Frank Lenzmeier.

He died last week at the age of 85.

We caught up with Lenzmeier back in 2020 during the pandemic when he was serving as president of the West Fargo Area Community Program.

The program was holding a trick or treat for seniors  that year at West Fargo’s Lutheran Church of the Cross.

He was elected to the city commission in 1972.

Lenzmeier started his own trucking business in the 1970s and later had a company that built homes in West Fargo.

He served on the West Fargo Planning and Zoning Commission.

His funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Fargo.
